A kiosk, online from day one
Brief
A new kiosk in the industrial area by the Grüssen-Center in Pratteln, right next to McDonald’s, needed to work online from day one: show the range, take orders, take payment, offer pickup or delivery. In a few weeks it also becomes a late-night kiosk, so the shop had to be ready for night hours and delivery services.
Its own platform, not a page builder
Approach
I built a custom e-commerce platform with Next.js, with Payload CMS as the back end so the range, prices and opening hours can be maintained without a developer. Payment runs through a custom SumUp integration, delivery through Just Eat. Uber Eats is in progress: the range has been submitted and is waiting for Uber to approve it. The SEO foundation for local search is in place.
Ready for the night
Result
A shop that belongs to the kiosk rather than to a page builder: order online and pick up in store, delivery through Just Eat with Uber Eats to follow, and a back end the owner runs himself. Ready for the move to a late-night kiosk.
